About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeper to join our team at Beaumont Care Homes. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our care homes, ensuring that our residents feel safe and comfortable in their living environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all areas of the care home are clean, tidy, and hazard-free, adhering to our housekeeping guidelines and procedures.
  • Oversee the duties of the domestic and laundry staff team, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with the domestic and laundry staff team to achieve our high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Responsible for creating and managing duty rotas for the domestic and laundry staff team.
  • Under the supervision of the Home Manager, provide training and support to the domestic and laundry staff team, including annual appraisals and personal development plans.
  • Manage stock levels and supplies for cleaning and laundry staff, ensuring that we operate within budgetary control.
  • Implement and maintain an efficient stock control system.
  • Ensure that our Company Policy on Infection Control and Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) are adhered to at all times.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Polite and courteous demeanor, with a positive and energetic attitude.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Contribute to enhancing the quality and service levels of our care homes.
  • Adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
