Estimator Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team at Trapeze Recruitment Services Ltd. As an Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in the pre-construction phase, collaborating closely with clients, design teams, and project managers to prepare accurate cost estimates for metalwork projects of varying scale and complexity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to accurately assess project requirements.
  • Quantify materials, labour, and other resources needed for metalwork projects.
  • Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, considering factors such as material costs, labour costs, equipment costs, and overheads.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.
  • Review and negotiate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality.
  • Participate in project meetings to provide insights on cost-related matters and contribute to value engineering efforts.
  • Maintain accurate records of estimates, pricing data, and project documentation.
  • Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase and provide regular updates to project stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or related field.
