Estimator for Architectural & Structural Metalwork

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at Mitchell Maguire, a specialist Construction Recruitment Consultancy. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for providing accurate and detailed estimates for architectural and structural metalwork projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out take-offs from drawings and measurements to produce bills of quantities/price schedules
  • Deal with enquiries from clients via phone calls and emails
  • Prepare and submit accurate and detailed tenders within the timeframe provided
  • Follow up all submitted tenders, receiving feedback from clients and updating records accordingly
  • Conduct handover meetings passing secured projects to our production team
  • Develop relationships with clients to secure further business
  • Liaise with colleagues to facilitate the progression of tenders and projects
Requirements:
  • Must have estimating experience within the metalwork market sector, whether structural or architectural
  • Experience dealing with structural steel, balconies, balustrades, staircases, railings, glass systems, decking & sheet metalwork would be advantageous
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and industry standards
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail and excellent organisation skills
  • Driven, enthusiastic, comfortable working autonomously
