Senior Bioinformatics Machine Learning Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bioinformatics Machine Learning Engineer to join our team at Newton Colmore Consulting Ltd. As a key member of our bioinformatics team, you will be responsible for developing complex bioinformatic algorithms, databases, and tools that will have a direct impact on our company's future research and development programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement machine learning and geometric deep learning algorithms to drive the development of databases that help our company understand the best targets and approaches to deliver novel therapies to patients.
- Work closely with data engineers and data analysts as part of a multidisciplinary team to drive the development of bioinformatic tools and databases.
- Take charge of projects from start to finish, working independently and collaboratively with the team to deliver high-quality results.
- Collaborate with the director of bioinformatics to develop and implement strategies for the development of bioinformatic tools and databases.
Requirements:
- PhD in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in machine learning and geometric deep learning algorithms.
- Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in bioinformatics and omics fields.
- Experience with Rosetta and sequence analysis.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
