Facilities Maintenance Technician

Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team in maintaining the highest standards within our student accommodation. In this customer-focused position, you will play a vital role in ensuring that both communal areas and private studios are kept in excellent condition.

Your responsibilities will include adhering to all health and safety regulations and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform various maintenance tasks including plumbing, painting, decorating, and joinery for communal areas and studios as needed.
  • Maintain the grounds where applicable.
  • Manage building facilities promptly, either by executing repairs yourself or coordinating with external contractors as necessary.
  • Uphold the residence to brand standards through tasks such as painting, flooring, and joinery work.
  • Ensure compliance when addressing identified maintenance issues.
  • Maintain health and safety standards throughout the building.
  • Oversee routine testing, maintenance, and risk assessments for all aspects of the residence.
  • Manage the annual site calendar and ensure all service requests are addressed efficiently.
  • Maintain budgetary controls for supplies and services.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service as part of the residence management team.
  • Support the site team with routine compliance checks and maintain maintenance storage.

Compensation Package

• Competitive base salary of £28K
• 20 days of annual leave plus 8 public holidays
• Standard working hours from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM
• All necessary equipment will be provided
