About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our team at Epsom Hospital. As a Staff Nurse on our Swift Ward, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing planned surgical operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of education and training programs for nursing staff.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Adult Branch Nurse.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly within an acute setting.

Desirable

  • Diploma in Nursing or Degree.
  • Knowledge and experience of clinical audit and clinical governance.
  • Computer skills and experience of using databases.
