About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Apollo Home Healthcare. As a Children's Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our service users, enabling them to live as independently as possible in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to service users, including assistance with daily living activities, mobility, and medication administration.
  • Work collaboratively with the service user's family and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Support service users to access their interests and favorite activities, promoting social interaction and community engagement.
  • Monitor and report any changes in the service user's condition, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Requirements
  • 3 months previous care experience, including personal care, moving and handling, and medication administration.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision, using initiative and judgment to make decisions in complex situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with service users, families, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends, as required.
