Job Summary

The Senior Legal Counsel UK and Ireland position is a key role within the Danaher Diagnostics Platform, responsible for providing legal advice, guidance, and direction on a wide range of legal and compliance matters to companies in the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and guidance on compliance matters, including privacy, regulatory, and public procurement.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects, with regular and transparent reporting on progress.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with local leadership and other strategic partners within the DX Platform.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and document commercial transactions, including supply, services, sub-contracts, procurement, and cooperation transactions.
  • Implement digital systems and tools to automate low-risk, high-volume routine work.
  • Develop and implement approaches to dispute resolution, lawsuits, and arbitrations.
  • Conduct legal training and education as needed.
  • Consult on privacy issues and support the Compliance Program.
Requirements
  • 15 or more years of practice.
  • Experience in interacting with remote internal customers and management.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of compliance programs.
  • Project management skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally, as needed.
  • Working in a dynamic and fast-paced business environment.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of commercial law topics.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in the Life Sciences, Medical Device, Pharmaceuticals, Manufacturing, Technology, or any other relevant industry.
