Protection Specialist Opportunity

Mortgage Advice Bureau (MAB) is a leading mortgage broker and network, renowned for its excellence and growth. We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our protection team based in CHEAM, who must be RO5 or CeMAP qualified.

This is an office-based role, requiring you to be within commutable distance of our head office in CHEAM. You will thrive in a forward-thinking and fun environment, where we believe in working hard and celebrating success.

As a Protection Specialist, your performance and competence will be measured against a range of Key Performance Indicators within a regulatory framework to ensure our customers receive the insurance product they require.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to join one of MAB's successful and market-leading mortgage brokers. You must have a minimum of 2 years' experience of advising on protection policies, and consistently exceeding sales targets.

You will be responsible for conducting high-quality calls and appointments with customers, providing regulated protection advice, and focusing on appropriate outcomes. Your duties will include:

  • Conducting appointments with clients in a friendly and engaging manner, communicating clearly and explaining protection products in a concise way.
  • Providing written recommendations confirming the best advice to suit the customer's needs following a comprehensive fact find.
  • Assessing existing policies, reviewing and replacing if required to suit customers' changing circumstances.
  • Spotting opportunities to review cover in a compliant manner, ensuring that clients are never knowingly disadvantaged.
  • Replacing or recommending amendments to existing cover, providing documented reports to fully explain changes to cover.
  • Providing quotations for personal and family protection, explaining recommendations at a level the client understands or requires.
