About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your knowledge, skills, and practice in a wide range of social work issues, including trauma, domestic abuse, and sexual abuse. You will work closely with other professionals to achieve positive and improved outcomes for children and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of assessment and specific targeted intervention work to achieve positive and improved outcomes for children.
  • Develop and implement plans to support children and families, including planning activities and programmes of intervention.
  • Work in partnership with parents and carers to provide support and guidance.
  • Contribute to the development of other staff and students within the team.
  • Deputise for the manager in their absence.
Requirements
  • Diploma/MA in Social Work, CQSW, CSS or equivalent and current Social Work England registration.
  • Experience of working in a relationship-based way and being a supportive team member.
  • Ability to write to a high standard and demonstrate analytical skills.
  • Experience of giving evidence in court (desirable).
  • Practice educator qualification or experience of supporting and mentoring others (desirable).
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • IT/Word Processing Skills.
  • Recent practice at an experienced social worker level, with comprehensive working knowledge and experience within the field of practice in Children Services.
