Job Title: Senior Practitioner – Clacton Family Centre

Essex County Council is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Practitioner to join our North Essex Family Centre team. As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality social work services to children and families in Clacton on Sea.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your knowledge, skills, and practice across a wide range of social work issues. You will be responsible for managing a caseload of assessment and specific targeted intervention work, to achieve positive and improved outcomes for children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of assessment and specific targeted intervention work
  • Develop and implement effective social work plans to achieve positive outcomes for children
  • Work in partnership with parents and carers to provide support and guidance
  • Communicate effectively with children of all ages and their families
  • Contribute to the development of the North Essex Family Centre team and service
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Diploma/MA in Social Work, CQSW, CSS or equivalent and current Social Work England registration
  • Experience of working in a relationship-based way and being a supportive team member
  • Ability to write to a high standard and demonstrate analytical skills
  • Experience of giving evidence in court (desirable)
  • Practice educator qualification or experience of supporting and mentoring others (desirable)
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • IT/Word Processing Skills
  • Recent practice at an experienced social worker level, with comprehensive working knowledge and experience within the field of practice in Children Services
