Policy and Public Affairs Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy and Public Affairs Manager to join our team for a 1-year fixed term contract. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and delivering influencing campaigns and public affairs activity for our cancer charity.

About the Role

The Policy and Public Affairs Manager will be responsible for:

  1. Developing and implementing effective policy and public affairs strategies to influence decision-makers and drive positive change
  2. Building and maintaining relationships with politicians, policy makers, and other key stakeholders
  3. Leading and managing a Policy and Public Affairs Officer to support their work and professional development
  4. Collaborating with internal teams to ensure alignment and effective communication

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Demonstrable experience in a policy and influencing role, with a strong track record of delivering results
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with politicians and policy makers
  3. Knowledge of policy development and the tactics needed to influence legislation
  4. Line management experience, with the ability to lead and develop a team

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £42,244 (full-time equivalent) and a part-time contract of 28 hours per week. The role is based in London (Holborn) and requires 1 day in the office per week.
