Sanitation Specialist (Dental Facility)

As a Sanitation Specialist, you will be instrumental in ensuring our facility meets compliance standards, providing a safe and hygienic environment for our dental professionals and patients.

You will uphold the highest cleanliness standards for our team and clientele.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning assigned areas thoroughly
  • Adhering to the cleanliness protocols of a dental facility
  • Complying with Health & Safety, COSHH, and all relevant regulations
  • Maintaining accurate cleaning logs – daily, weekly, monthly, bi-annually, and annually
  • Understanding and applying the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2007 and 2021, along with the National Colour Coding Scheme
  • Implementing Infection Control measures
  • Caring for cleaning equipment
  • Ensuring proper use of Personal Protective Equipment
  • Handling electrical cleaning devices
  • Adhering to lone worker policies and conducting risk assessments
  • Managing waste (excluding hazardous or sharp waste)
  • Upholding confidentiality standards
  • Executing any other reasonable requests from management

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar cleaning role
  • Familiarity with COSHH regulations is advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Dependable with excellent punctuality
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Must achieve client vetting clearance for the position
