About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team at SSE PLC. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for developing project requirements into control system solutions that can be deployed within our Transmission network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop project requirements into control system solutions
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to determine project scope and detailed requirements
  • Agree design deliverables and delivery programme with stakeholders
  • Negotiate and agree project scope, costs, and expectations with teams and subcontractors
  • Manage stakeholders and build effective working relationships
  • Ensure all RTS/SCADA works and interfaces are managed and implemented by the various teams and subcontractors

Requirements

  • Significant experience in project management and control system design
  • Strong background in the design and implementation of Control & SCADA systems utilising DNP3
  • Experience with the application of IEC 61850 is advantageous
  • Ability to negotiate and agree project scope, costs, and expectations
  • Strong communication skills to manage stakeholders and build effective working relationships
  • A working knowledge of CDM regulations with a keen focus on safety
  • Minimum of an HNC qualification in an electrical or telecommunications-based discipline
