Job Overview

Compensation: £500 - £550 per day

Role Summary:

Digital Waffle is in search of a skilled Infrastructure Project Manager to spearhead a vital transformation initiative aimed at transitioning legacy on-premise infrastructure to Azure. This position offers a competitive daily rate and operates outside of IR35 regulations, providing the necessary flexibility. The successful candidate will oversee comprehensive infrastructure migrations, the retirement of outdated systems, and significant system enhancements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Migration & Decommissioning: Strategically plan and implement the transition of legacy infrastructure to Azure, ensuring minimal operational disruption. Effectively phase out obsolete systems while adhering to organizational compliance standards.
  • Migration Oversight: Supervise the migration activities, ensuring a smooth transition from traditional systems to advanced cloud solutions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders across various levels, maintaining clear communication and ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Project Management Methodologies: Leverage expertise in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies to efficiently manage project schedules, deliverables, and team collaboration.
  • System Upgrades: Direct infrastructure upgrades to improve system performance and meet evolving business requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive Experience: A robust background in infrastructure project management, particularly in overseeing infrastructure migrations, decommissioning, and large-scale transitions.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with legacy on-premise systems and cloud technologies, especially Azure.
  • Methodological Expertise: Strong command of both Agile and Waterfall project management frameworks.
  • Effective Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management abilities, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving capabilities, with a knack for anticipating challenges and devising proactive solutions.
