Clinical Specialist Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist Therapist to join our Urgent Care Therapy team at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust. Our team provides expert care to patients across the Emergency Department, Acute Medical Unit, and Short Stay Units.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing therapy interventions to patients with a wide range of conditions, including respiratory, neurological, and orthopaedic conditions. You will work closely with Consultants in Emergency Care and Consultant Physicians/Geriatricians to ensure the smooth running of the patient discharge pathway.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical expertise and specialist advice to the therapy team and wider multi-disciplinary team
- Ensure service delivery is evidence-based or follows local/national best practice
- Take the lead role on Clinical Audit and Direct Observations of Practice to monitor and ensure quality of service provision
- Supervise and mentor junior members of staff and pre-registration students
- Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy
- Evidence of postgraduate training/qualification relevant to clinical area
- Experience of presenting complex data to a range of audiences
- Standard keyboard skills and ability to use IT packages such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
