About The Role

Morrison Energy Services is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our team on our Electricity Transmission Contract. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing individual projects, ensuring timely delivery within defined budgets, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Project/Site Manager on commercial and operational issues
  • Responsible for commercial, operational, and technical delivery issues
  • Developing and implementing Construction Phase Health & Safety Plans and Quality Plans
  • Ensuring necessary documentation is in place and regularly reviewed
  • Supporting the Business Development and Bids teams with technical expertise
  • Coordinating resource levels across projects for efficient utilisation
  • Closing liaison with Site Manager/Project Manager to ensure contractual obligations are met
  • Monitoring project progress and recommending changes
  • Capturing events impacting costs and programmes
  • Ensuring contract changes/compensation events are captured and evaluated
  • Improving project efficiency and profitability
  • Contributing to budgeting and forecasting
  • Producing Monthly Contract Review reports and Project Closeout Reports
  • Attending MES and client contract review/progress meetings
  • Ensuring timely and accurate time bookings, out allowance, and expenses
Skills & Knowledge Requirements
  • Ability to communicate with cross-departmental teams to maximise efficiency and productivity
  • Ability to challenge the norm and drive innovation
  • Ability to develop budgets and forecasts, plan and programme resources, and implement KPIs
  • Effective prioritisation, time management, and workload planning skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of UK power transmission markets, clients, and regulatory bodies
  • Knowledge and understanding of contract/project management within infrastructure construction and refurbishment projects
  • Working knowledge of current health and safety legislation
