Senior Financial Analyst

Location: Chatham, Kent, United Kingdom

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at Hays PLC. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis and planning support to our business.

Main Responsibilities:Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Collaborate with the budget team to develop and maintain the budget model.
  • Provide regular budget trackers and performance analysis to stakeholders.
  • Manage the capitalisation of development costs and maintain the intangible asset register.
Headcount Management:
  • Update the headcount model and post payroll journals.
  • Coordinate with the recruitment team to ensure accurate headcount planning.
Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare monthly management accounts in a timely manner.
  • Assist in creating the monthly Finance Board report and cost analysis.
Year-End Audit:
  • Provide relevant information for the year-end audit file.
Ad Hoc Tasks:
  • Support strategic projects and other ad hoc requests as needed.

Requirements:

  • Relevant accounting qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or similar).
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Previous experience in forecasting and budgeting.
  • Strong technical accounting skills and operational experience.
  • Working knowledge of SAP / Xero would be desirable, but not essential.
