We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Technology Leader to join our team at Liberty Global. As a Senior Manager, Tax - Technology, you will play a critical role in managing the roadmap for the use of technology within our Central Tax team.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Implementing Process Improvements:** Develop and implement targeted process improvements within the tax compliance function, including relevant aspects of our accounting systems.
  • **Technology Management:** Manage the effective introduction of automation and technology tools into our tax compliance and monitoring processes, addressing rapidly changing legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • **Resource Utilization:** Assist in effectively managing the utilization of Liberty Global's resources relating to tax compliance & reporting.
  • **Knowledge Sharing:** Share knowledge and support training as necessary to ensure finance and accounting colleagues have the appropriate level of understanding of tax compliance matters.
  • **Tax Technology Champions Forum:** Lead our Tax Technology Champions forum, driving innovation and collaboration within the team.
  • **Technology Asset Management:** Own the existing estate of technology assets and licenses, ensuring constant appraisal and challenge, and developing a future roadmap.
  • **Interdepartmental Collaboration:** Align with our broader Finance Technology team, ensuring great coordination and transparency between Tax initiatives and the broader Finance Tech agenda.
  • **Team Collaboration:** Foster an environment in which all members of our Central Tax Team work collaboratively to achieve the team's goals and objectives.

**Requirements:**

  • Proven track record in a large group environment with finance and technology experience.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to partner with peers, local operating companies, Tax leadership, and the wider business.
  • Ability to recognize complex issues and implications, and seek assistance when necessary.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience with different technology systems & controls, ERP systems, consolidation software like Hyperion.
