As a Water Leakage Specialist, you will leverage your analytical skills and problem-solving expertise to minimize water loss within our distribution network. We are committed to meeting the leakage benchmarks established by our regulatory body (OFWAT) each year. Your role will involve utilizing cutting-edge technologies and innovative approaches to enhance our performance.
You will engage in a comprehensive array of leakage detection tasks, including analyzing DMA plans and data, conducting noise logging, and performing step tests. Your expertise in assessing and diagnosing issues will empower you to devise optimal solutions. Additionally, you will provide support during any disruptions or incidents impacting our customers' water supply.
You will receive robust support from your colleagues and supervisors, although familiarity with water distribution operations is advantageous. This position requires a commitment of 37 hours per week on a shift schedule from Monday to Saturday, with advance access to your work schedule for effective planning.

Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and identify concealed leaks.
- Assist customers in addressing supply pipe leaks and plumbing concerns.
- Maintain knowledge of water distribution operations, including pressure reducing valves and valve management.
- Collaborate with distribution personnel and contractors on leak repairs.
- Coordinate with customer service representatives and other staff regarding leakage activities.
- Provide assistance to customers as necessary.
- Update asset databases to correct field errors.
- Stay informed and skilled in leakage detection practices and equipment usage.
- Fulfill administrative duties associated with the role (e.g., data entry into corporate systems).
Qualifications:
- Experience with leakage detection methodologies, including correlators and ground microphones.
- Knowledge of water distribution operations and related equipment.
- Familiarity with conducting Step Tests is a plus.
- Possession of street works qualifications.
- Certification in national water hygiene (blue card).
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
