Account Management Lead

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Account Management Lead to join our Financial Management team at Newcastle City Council. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team responsible for preparing and monitoring the Council's revenue and capital budgets, and providing day-to-day support to budget and project managers.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of finance professionals in preparing and monitoring the Council's revenue and capital budgets.
- Provide day-to-day support to budget and project managers, ensuring the effective management of financial resources.
- Develop and implement financial planning and analysis strategies to support the Council's financial objectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the effective management of financial resources and the achievement of financial objectives.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- CCAB qualification or working towards qualification.
- Sound knowledge of local authority finance and experience of providing support to those responsible for managing financial resources.
- Excellent communication and organisation skills and experience of presenting complex financial information in user-friendly formats.
