We are seeking a motivated IT Support Technician Apprentice to become a vital part of our dynamic IT Department. This role is designed for individuals eager to contribute to the ongoing development of our organization, collaborating with various teams across multiple locations.

FPCR Environment and Design Limited is recognized as a premier multi-disciplinary environmental design firm with over six decades of experience.

Our office environment is unique, situated in a historic manor house that presents distinct challenges for IT infrastructure. Due to the remote setting, personal transportation is advisable.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Serving as the initial contact for staff inquiries
  • Redirecting calls as necessary
  • Supporting larger projects, which may involve travel and after-hours commitments
  • Ensuring prompt resolution of technical issues
  • Developing knowledgebase articles for recurring problems
  • Assisting new employees with technology on their first day

To excel in this position, candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

  • A keen interest in information technology
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
  • Eagerness and capability to learn swiftly
  • A friendly and approachable demeanor
  • Confidence in communicating with colleagues
  • Personal experience with technology
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grades A* - C / 9 – 5 or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in an IT role
  • Familiarity with networking equipment
  • Relevant IT certifications
  • Experience in programming (any languages are advantageous)
