We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Research Nurse Team Leader to join our team at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Research and Innovation Division, you will be responsible for leading a team of clinical research nurses and ensuring the successful delivery of clinical trials.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Provide strategic leadership and management to a team of clinical research nurses, ensuring the delivery of high-quality clinical trials.
- Develop and implement effective processes and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of clinical trials.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of clinical trials.
- Operational Management
- Oversee the management of clinical trial budgets, ensuring effective financial management and control.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient recruitment and retention rates.
- Work closely with the research income and costings team to forecast projected income and secure funding for clinical trial team nursing and administration posts.
- Clinical Governance
- Ensure that all clinical trials are conducted in accordance with relevant governance frameworks and local SOPs.
- Develop and implement effective quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical trials.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of clinical trials.
- Education and Training
- Develop and deliver educational programs to meet the competencies of clinical research nursing and administration teams.
- Support the development of clinical research nurses through training and development opportunities.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of clinical trials.
- Communication and Engagement
- Represent the Research and Innovation Division at specialist research forums and consultative groups.
- Communicate complex scientific and sensitive patient information to a wide range of multi-disciplinary staff groups.
- Ensure effective communication across all organisational boundaries in relation to clinical trial activities.
- Extensive experience in clinical research nursing and leadership.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and partnership working.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
