Senior Clinical Research Nurse

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Band 7 Senior Clinical Research Nurse to join our team at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing clinical trials, ensuring the highest standards of care and research excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage clinical trials from initiation to closure, including archiving and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement specialist care pathways in conjunction with appropriate personnel, promoting a cost-effective and timely service for individual protocols.
- Support the Team Leader in delivering divisional and trust strategic objectives, including performance indicators and metrics.
- Act as a primary contact point for clinical trial patients and provide advice to other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain professional development and stay up-to-date with current advances in cancer treatments, research, and nursing practice.
- Provide specialist education and training in relation to clinical trials to all key stakeholders.
- Disseminate information through attendance and/or presentations at local, national, and international conferences/meetings.
Requirements:
- Registered General Nurse with current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council.
- First Degree or relevant experience, with GCP/ICH recognised recent training.
- Post-graduate qualification in oncology and/or clinical research.
- Relevant oncology nursing experience and clinical research experience at Band 6 or other relevant experience related to specialism.
- Experience in coordinating clinical trials from initiation to closure, including archiving.
- Experience of managing Clinical Research Teams and writing standards operating procedures for clinical research and individual protocols.
