About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced retail professional to join our team as an Assistant Store Manager. As a key member of our store team, you will play a vital role in driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and contributing to the overall success of our charity retail operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Store Manager in leading the store team to achieve sales targets and improve customer satisfaction
  • Develop and implement effective merchandising and visual display strategies to drive sales and improve store appearance
  • Manage stock levels, including ordering, receiving, and rotating stock to ensure optimal inventory levels
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Deputise for the Store Manager as required, taking responsibility for the store in their absence

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in a retail environment, preferably in a management or supervisory capacity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Strong merchandising and visual display skills
  • Ability to deputise for the Store Manager as required
