Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Corporate and Commercial Lawyer to join our team at Law Staff Limited in Hertford. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality legal advice and support on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drafting, Reviewing, and Negotiating Commercial Agreements: The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and licensing agreements.
  • Corporate Governance and Compliance: The candidate will advise clients on corporate governance and compliance issues, ensuring that all legal requirements are met.
  • Due Diligence and Transactional Matters: The successful candidate will conduct due diligence and assist with transactional matters, providing expert legal advice and support.
  • General Corporate and Commercial Support: The candidate will provide legal support and guidance on general corporate and commercial issues, ensuring that all clients receive high-quality advice.
  • Team Collaboration: The successful candidate will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives, working closely with colleagues to deliver excellent results.
  • Time Management: The candidate will apportion their time between fee-earning, business development, and supervising junior members, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Solicitor: The successful candidate must be a qualified solicitor in England and Wales.
  • Post-qualification Experience: The candidate must have 2-6 years of post-qualification experience in corporate and commercial law.
  • Corporate and Commercial Law Knowledge: The successful candidate must have strong knowledge of corporate and commercial law principles.
  • Drafting, Negotiation, and Communication Skills: The candidate must have excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Cross-Border Transactions: Experience working on cross-border transactions is a plus, but not essential.
