About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Headteacher to lead and develop Benton House School, a brand-new SEN school for pupils with complex needs, including SEMH. As a key member of the Acorn Education team, you will be responsible for providing effective leadership and management of the school, ensuring it meets its aims and objectives and operates within the overall strategy and guidelines of the organization.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success as a senior leader in a specialist school for pupils with complex communication needs. You will be a qualified teacher with a strong understanding of the needs of pupils with complex needs and a passion for delivering high-quality education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the school to achieve outstanding outcomes for pupils and young people
  • Develop and implement a shared vision that inspires and motivates students, staff, and the wider school community
  • Ensure the school operates within the overall strategy and guidelines of Acorn Education
  • Manage and develop a team of staff to ensure the school meets its aims and objectives
  • Develop and implement growth plans to ensure the commercial success of the school
Requirements
  • At least three years' experience as a senior leader in a specialist school for pupils with complex communication needs
  • Qualified Teacher Status or Equivalent
  • Willingness to extend personal and professional development
  • Ability to lead and provide a clear vision
