Job Title: Band 7 Physiotherapist Full Time

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 7 Physiotherapist to join our Elderly Care therapy team at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive and specialist therapy assessments to a varied cohort of patients across our care of elderly wards, including our delirium recovery pathway.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical care to patients, including assessment and treatment planning.
  • Support more junior staff and share clinical expertise.
  • Lead and manage the therapy team, including training and supervision of junior team members.
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators and service developments.
Requirements:
  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy or equivalent recognised by Health Care Professionals Council.
  • Physiotherapy degree qualification or equivalent.
  • Documented evidence of Continued Professional Development of expanded specialist skills.
  • Attained or working towards a Post Graduate Degree or Qualification.
Key Skills:
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Ability to provide professional/clinical leadership.
  • Understanding of organisational structure of the NHS and Social Care.
  • Ability to search and review the evidence base.
Working Arrangements:

The post holder will be expected to work on the therapy seven day working rota, of a 1:6 frequency, with compensatory rest days in the following week, as well as being part of the on-call service.

We offer training opportunities to develop your specialist skills in line with your PDR, as well as senior leadership training opportunities and courses funded externally.
