About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Specialist to join our team at Hitachi Energy. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure automation systems for our HVDC projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead system, network, and cybersecurity implementations in HVDC projects
  • Design and develop secure network architectures for SCADA systems
  • Evaluate and strengthen the security of connections to the SCADA network
  • Implement security features provided by device and system vendors
  • Establish strong controls over backdoors into the SCADA network
  • Implement internal and external intrusion detection systems
  • Perform VAPT and technical audits of SCADA devices and networks
  • Conduct physical security surveys and assess remote sites connected to the SCADA network
  • Collaborate with customers and engineering colleagues to ensure delivery meets their requirements and standards
Requirements
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in the UK
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, fluent in English
  • Experience with network equipment, redundant network designs, and protocols
  • Experience with Microsoft client- and server operating systems
  • Experience with Active Directory, databases, and high-availability solutions
  • Experience with scripting languages and automation technologies
  • Knowledge of intrusion detection systems, security information event monitoring, and application control
