Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Safran Engineering Services UK Limited. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating design activities to ensure timely delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Coordination: Develop and implement project plans to ensure on-time delivery of design activities.
  • Technical Audits and Compliance: Participate in technical audits and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Tool Development and Process Improvement: Develop and implement tools, processes, and methods to improve design deliverables and project deadlines.
  • Reporting and Forecasting: Provide regular status updates and forecast project timelines to stakeholders.
  • Support to ITCM, PDR, and CDR: Assist in the development and implementation of Integrated Technical Configuration Management (ITCM), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), and Critical Design Review (CDR) processes.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Structural Engineering.
  • Experience: Significant experience in project leadership and management, with a strong background in mechanical design and engineering.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Catia V5 and experience with Smarteam.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Strong ability to lead and coordinate design activities, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and manage a team.
