Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

STG Aerospace Limited is a leading manufacturer of emergency exit marking and cabin lighting solutions for the aerospace industry. We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our New Product Introduction Engineering team.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop mechanical components and assemblies in compliance with specified requirements
  • Design mechanical solutions to meet customer needs and regulatory requirements
  • Generate supporting documentation during the development process
  • Test prototypes to determine technical feasibility
  • Support integration and qualification activities to ensure design elements work as part of the broader system
Requirements:
  • HND or degree qualified in Mechanical/Product Design/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
  • 1-2 years' experience in a New Product development engineering environment
  • Experience in design and development of injection moulding components and understanding of extrusion, machining, metal fabrication, and additive manufacturing technologies
  • Working experience using parametric CAD software to generate 3D models and 2D drawings of electromechanical assemblies and components
  • Strong numerical and verbal ability
  • Excellent presentation skills and advanced user of MS Office tools
