Job Overview

REE Automotive is revolutionizing the electric mobility landscape with its innovative REE-corners and fully flat, ultra-modular EV platforms. As a key player in this disruption, we are seeking an experienced Brakes Performance Engineer to support our rapid growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive braking system testing and performance evaluation to meet program-specific attribute targets and timing.
  • Design and write test procedures for development and performance sign-off criteria, ensuring seamless integration with REE's braking system.
  • Conduct vehicle testing activities, analyze results, and provide detailed reporting to inform product development.
  • Lead the development and implementation of braking system instrumentation, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including V&V, SW, and controls, to ensure braking system meets stringent requirements.
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise in braking system attributes, foundation brakes, controls/SW, and homologation requirements.
  • Provide input into system DVP requirements and lead benchmarking activities to stay ahead of industry trends.
Requirements
  • Hold a degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in complex engineering environments, with a focus on braking system development and testing.
  • Expertise in braking performance tests, ABS tests, and NVH, with a strong understanding of brake by wire systems and actuation.
  • Proficiency in Vector software and vehicle test instrumentation and logging.
  • Excellent test planning and reporting skills, with the ability to manage workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including SharePoint, Excel, and Word.
