Position Overview

The Cybersecurity division at State Street is in search of a Senior Security Solutions Architect. This team is dedicated to providing frameworks, designs, and tools that empower Cybersecurity professionals to make timely and informed choices as we strive to protect State Street's digital assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute thorough risk evaluations, threat assessments, and vulnerability examinations to identify security weaknesses and formulate remediation strategies.
  • Conduct security assessments of application architectures, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
  • Promote early security integration within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) by establishing checkpoints for security testing and ensuring security principles are incorporated into initial design phases.
  • Possess a robust understanding of identity management protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, etc.).
  • Design and document reusable security architecture frameworks.
  • Develop and enforce technical security standards across the organization.
  • Collaborate closely with Identity and Access Management (IAM) architects, Cloud Architects, Solution Architects, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Enhance security measures for cloud environments and services.
  • Engage in routine security audits and compliance assessments.
  • Evaluate vendor product security and ensure a shared responsibility model is established.
  • Guide teams through security governance processes.

Desired Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of IAM technologies, Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR), User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA), and behavioral analysis platforms.
  • Practical experience with Active Directory in both on-premises and hybrid settings, including Azure Active Directory.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic and support tools utilized in a technical support environment.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to drive results, provide constructive feedback, and cultivate relationships with team members across various locations.
  • Understanding of data organization and structuring complex datasets from diverse sources.
  • Experience in security engineering, particularly in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
  • Proficiency in scripting, automation, security analytics, and attack path analysis tools.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and securing cloud-based solutions.
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or AWS Certified Security - Specialty are advantageous.
  • Experience in designing and documenting application architecture solutions.

Educational Background:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in Cybersecurity, including Security Operations, penetration testing, security analytics, threat hunting, and/or security architecture.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related technical field, with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with security observability and identity threat monitoring in hybrid cloud settings.
  • Proven ability to independently lead transformational security initiatives across the organization.
  • Familiarity with security testing and penetration testing methodologies, as well as security analytics tools and platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a history of cross-functional collaboration and delivering results.
  • Preference for candidates with experience in security analytics, security research, offensive security, or advanced threat prevention.
