Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Book Keeper to join our Accounting & Finance team in Milton Keynes. As a Book Keeper, you will be responsible for managing all financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and preparing financial reports.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all financial transactions, including fixed payments, variable expenses, bank deposits, and budgets.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers and journals.
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Participate in financial audits and provide support to the Accounting & Finance team.
- Track organisational expenses and suggest methods to reduce costs.
- Enhance bookkeeping policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time efficiently.
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- A competitive salary ranging from £27,000 to £37,000 annually.
