About the Role

We are seeking an experienced education professional to join our School Improvement Team as a School Effectiveness Adviser SEND. This is a part-time, term-time only position that requires a strong understanding of SEND guidance and legislation.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality advice and challenge to schools to meet their statutory duties and identified needs with regard to inclusion and the education of children with additional needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert advice and support to schools on SEND-related matters
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve inclusion and SEND provision in schools
  • Working with schools to identify and address barriers to learning for children with SEND
  • Collaborating with other agencies to ensure effective support for children with SEND

We are looking for a candidate with significant school senior leadership experience or experience as a Local Authority adviser, who has a proven track record of supporting headteachers, driving school improvement, and supporting pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
