Linx Printing Technologies is a leading global provider of coding and marking solutions for date and batch coding of products and packaging across manufacturing industries. We are seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in St Ives, Cambridgeshire.

About the Role

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for optimizing the performance of manufacturing operations through the delivery of quality, delivery, and efficiency improvements, using continuous improvement and lean techniques. You will determine the optimal manufacturing methods and processes for producing company products from start-up, building the product line, through satisfactory production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive process and component quality improvements within manufacturing cells to improve FTPR (First Time Pass Rate). Assess components and processes to identify causes of failure and feedback findings into Manufacturing, Engineering, and Suppliers to drive improvement.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing principles using the Veralto Enterprise System (VES) Kaizen toolset.
  • Lead Manufacturing Engineering projects to improve safety, quality, and productivity. Support change initiatives across manufacturing.
  • Identify, install, and commission new plant and equipment to meet the business's changing product and process needs.
  • Be a flexible teammate who thrives in a busy manufacturing environment and enjoys a varied workday.
  • The role is often hands-on, implementing proactive equipment maintenance or working on equipment or part problems in the manufacturing cells, so excellent practical abilities are essential.
  • Be a creative problem solver, with the ability to take ideas through to implementation.
  • Able to analyze and make decisions based on data.
Requirements
  • Experienced in a manufacturing/operations/engineering role.
  • A demonstrated ability to design and create mechanical solutions.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
  • An understanding of electrical engineering principles and/or electronics would be beneficial.
