We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Arboricultural Consultant to join our team at FPCR. Key Responsibilities:- Project Management: Manage projects throughout their lifecycle, including preparing fee quotes, managing project budgets, and providing advice on arboriculture to clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
- Arboriculture Surveys: Plan, lead, and conduct arboriculture surveys, including preparing Arboricultural survey plans, reports, impact assessments, and method statements.
- Report Writing: Prepare a range of Arboricultural reports, including Arboricultural survey plans, reports, impact assessments, and method statements.
- Mitigation Measures: Design and implement appropriate mitigation measures to enhance and protect Arboricultural features.
- Team Support: Support and mentor junior staff, sharing your knowledge and expertise to develop their skills and professional judgment.
- Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong client relationships, as well as with contractors and regulatory bodies.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in the planning and delivery of Arboricultural services.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- A Level 4 or higher qualification in arboriculture or an equivalent environmental discipline.
- A VALID or PTI qualification would be advantageous.
- At least 5 years of experience in Arboricultural consultancy, with proven experience in project management, including for medium to large-scale and complex sites.
- Demonstrable experience in complex report writing, including Arboricultural survey plans, reports, impact assessments, and method statements.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- An advanced knowledge of Arboriculture in the context of the UK legislative and planning system.
- Knowledge of GIS/AutoCAD systems would be advantageous.
- Membership or eligibility to membership of a relevant professional body, such as The Arboricultural Association or Institute of Chartered Foresters.
- A passion for Arboriculture and sustainable environmental design.
- A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
