About the Nursery Manager Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to join our team at Tops Day Nurseries. As a Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for creating a safe, educational, and fun environment for our children. You will supervise children, ensure their safety, and organize activities such as games, crafts, and educational tasks.
About the Nursery
Tops Day Nurseries is a leading early education and childcare provider in South England. We promote environmental sustainability and social responsibility by educating today's children to influence future generations. Our nursery is a 55-place Day Nursery & Pre-School situated in Bearwood, Bournemouth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the nursery setting effectively, ensuring a high standard of care and education.
- Communicate excellently with children, staff members, and parents to ensure a positive and supportive environment.
- Develop and implement educational activities that promote learning and development in a fun and engaging way.
- Maintain a positive outlook and create an environment where children feel secure and rewarded.
- Conduct interviews for potential applicants and develop and maintain the nursery budget.
- Arrange marketing materials and monitor the condition of the facility and equipment.
- Update parents and carers about their child's progress and behaviour.
- Answer enquiries about enrolment, payments, and practices.
- Develop and implement an age-appropriate program of annual events and activities.
- Prepare the nursery for Ofsted inspections and follow inspector recommendations.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Level 3 Early Years Qualification is required.
- A solid knowledge of the EYFS and a strong understanding of safeguarding procedures.
