About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeper to join our team at Bannview House, a modern and purpose-built Nursing Home. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the Home, ensuring that our residents live in a safe and comfortable environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the domestic and laundry teams, ensuring that all areas of the Home are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. This will include managing cleaning schedules, supervising staff, and identifying and reporting any damage or issues to maintenance or management.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing excellent care and is committed to delivering high-quality services. If you have a strong background in cleaning and laundry, and are able to work independently and as part of a team, we would love to hear from you.

Main Responsibilities
  • Oversee and perform a variety of tasks throughout the Home, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping floors, and cleaning surfaces in resident rooms, communal areas, and offices.
  • Manage the domestic team to guarantee that all areas of the Home are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Identify and report any damage, faults, or other issues to maintenance or management.
  • Adhere to the cleaning and auditing schedule.
  • Responsible for the storage of cleaning products, ensuring they meet COSHH regulations and all cleaning machinery and equipment are used properly and stored safely.
  • Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Home Manager.
Requirements
  • A good standard of both verbal and written English.
  • Relevant experience for the role.
  • The Right to Work in the UK.
