Job Title: Head of Information Security and Resilience

Unite Students is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Information Security and Resilience to join our Digital and Information Technologies Leadership team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our enterprise information security program, ensuring the protection of our information assets and services.

About the Role:
  • Develop and implement an enterprise information security program that aligns with Unite Students' strategic objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and report on legal and regulatory, IT, and cybersecurity risk to information assets.
  • Work closely with colleagues across the business to determine acceptable levels of risk and implement practices that meet agreed policies and standards for information and cyber security.
  • Lead and motivate the information security team to achieve tactical and strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of information security measures.

Requirements:
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or other similar credentials.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of common information security management frameworks.
  • Sound knowledge of business management and a working knowledge of information security risk management and cybersecurity technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate information security and risk-related concepts to technical and nontechnical audiences.
