About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Field-Based Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Universal Business Team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for conducting LOLER inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance on care home equipment across South East and West England, including occasional trips to South West London.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough LOLER inspections and PPM (training provided) to ensure equipment is in good working order.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment faults efficiently and effectively.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed service records to track maintenance activities.
  • Communicate effectively with care home staff to ensure seamless maintenance operations.
  • Meet key performance indicators (KPIs) and deliver exceptional customer service.
Requirements
  • Proven electromechanical skills with experience in maintenance and repair.
  • Full UK manual driving licence to facilitate travel across the region.
  • Willingness to learn and follow safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Comfortable with travel across South East and West England, including occasional trips to South West London.
  • Preventative maintenance mindset to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Customer-centric approach to provide a positive customer experience.
