We are seeking a qualified Legal Advisor to become a part of our expanding team in Bradford. This role offers a hybrid working model, allowing for 2 days in the office and 3 days working remotely.

As a vital member of our Legal Operations Team at Liberty Shared Services (LSS), you will play a key role in managing claims for various consumer brands while also defending against claims made against them. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your legal career within a dynamic and tech-driven organization.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Analyze new claim instructions and collaborate with legal teams to advance claims related to wayleave, trespass, and diversion.
  • Manage internal stakeholder relationships and serve as an escalation point for Wayleave Officers, while engaging with external parties such as landlords and council representatives.
  • Conduct legal research using specialized data sources and stay updated on current case law and legislation to support your cases and assist paralegals and legal apprentices.
  • Utilize our systems to design and test automation solutions in collaboration with C&I Business Partners, providing insights to stakeholders and customers.
What We Are Looking For:
  • A qualified Solicitor/FCILEX with experience in real estate, property, or wayleave/code agreements, or a skilled Wayleave Officer.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with a commitment to supporting team members at various career stages.
  • Strong attention to detail, prioritization, and accuracy through effective self-review and critical analysis of data.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills with a strong desire to understand complex issues involving interconnected processes and systems.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation while ensuring efficient resource utilization.
