ROLE: Project Design Engineer

TERM: Permanent

The Project Mechanical Design Engineer will possess the following attributes:

  • Hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in a similar Design Engineering/CAD Operation role
  • Be proficient in 3D CAD software such as Inventor and SolidWorks
  • Have experience working with sheet metal

Key skills include:

  • Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small multi-disciplinary team

The Project Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:

  • Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings
  • Being involved in final assembly of products
  • Creating documentation for design and project reports/plans
  • Updating 3D models and drawings
  • Working in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects
  • Being involved in purchasing for projects and chasing suppliers as required
  • Preparing project-related documentation and drawings
  • Maintaining quality standards
  • Using IT systems to track progress and personnel
