About the Role

This is a career-graded post, which means that the Council is committed to supporting the successful candidate to obtain the necessary skills, abilities, and knowledge to become fully competent in the role. The successful candidate will be supported to progress through the career grade and achieve a qualification, which will be fully funded by the Council.

Working for the Shetland Islands Council

The Shetland Islands Council is a non-denominational school located in Symbister, Whalsay. We provide nursery, primary, and secondary education up to S4 for children from the whole island of Whalsay. Our school is managed by a Head Teacher and 2 Depute Head Teachers, and we have a total of pupils on the roll, inclusive of all phases.
