Role Overview

The individual in this position will be pivotal in overseeing the procurement of asset management and market data solutions. This includes crafting strategies aimed at enhancing profitability and securing a competitive edge in the market. Responsibilities encompass comprehensive sourcing activities, from supplier selection and negotiation to category strategy development and cross-functional leadership, all aimed at achieving or surpassing financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Procurement Planning: Formulate and execute procurement strategies that align with category goals and organizational objectives.
  • Supplier Management: Identify and cultivate relationships with key suppliers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services at competitive rates.
  • Sourcing and Negotiation: Lead significant sourcing initiatives, negotiating contracts and managing supplier performance to realize cost efficiencies and mitigate risks.
  • Cost Efficiency: Implement strategies for cost reduction, including demand management and process optimization, to enhance profitability.
  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and address risks related to sourcing, including regulatory changes and supplier reliability, ensuring business continuity.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as Finance, Legal, and Risk to understand their needs and provide strategic support.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives that promote best practices in procurement and third-party management, enhancing the effectiveness of Commercial Partnerships.
  • Performance Monitoring: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess team performance and identify areas for improvement.

Candidate Profile

We seek individuals with strong negotiation capabilities and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • In-depth knowledge of the asset management and market data landscape, including familiarity with established providers and emerging disruptors.
  • Current understanding of contracting frameworks.
  • Insight into financial services products and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with procurement tools and systems.
  • The ability to work autonomously, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
