Taylor Stevenson is pleased to collaborate with a reputable and long-standing precision engineering firm known for its high-volume production capabilities. This company has established itself over the years as a leader in machining precision components that meet stringent tolerances, serving a diverse range of sectors including Oil & Gas, Medical, and Military, among others. They work with a variety of materials such as Inconel, Super Duplex, and Stainless Steel.

In light of their recent growth and expansion, they are seeking a CNC Turner Setter & Programmer who is proficient in operating FANUC and/or HURCO machinery.

This position offers a competitive salary of £40,000 with an hourly rate of £16 - £18 plus a 6% bonus. Overtime is compensated at time and a half.

The role is structured as a full-time position with a weekly rotating shift pattern, exclusively comprising day shifts:

  • Week 1: Monday to Thursday 06:30 - 15:00 + Friday 06:30 - 14:00
  • Week 2: Monday to Thursday 14:30 - 23:00 + Friday 13:00 - 20:30

The responsibilities of the CNC Turner include:

  • Operating turning machines effectively.
  • Executing machining tasks while ensuring safety and adherence to high standards.
  • Performing turning operations with precision.
  • Maintaining quality control throughout the machining process.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong machine operation and measurement skills.
  • A minimum of 5 years of turning experience (preferred).
  • Apprentice training (preferred).
  • Programming capabilities.
  • A solid understanding of quality control standards.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and precision.
  • Experience with CNC machines, specifically FANUC and/or HURCO.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
