Role Overview
We are looking for a proficient and experienced CNC Horizontal Machinist to join our client's vibrant team.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in setting up, programming, and operating CNC machinery, as this role is vital for ensuring the production of high-quality precision components and the ongoing success of this esteemed business.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation:
Set up, program, and operate CNC machinery.
Programming:
Develop and modify CNC programs from technical schematics to enhance machine performance and ensure high precision.
Setup and Calibration:
Configure and calibrate tools and machines, ensuring all settings align with the specific requirements of each task.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct regular inspections of finished products to verify they meet required specifications and quality standards. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and gauges.
Safety and Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure working environment. Ensure adherence to industry standards and company policies.
Required Skills:
Experience:
Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, particularly with CNC mills and lathes. Familiarity with Union machines and Heidenhain controls is highly desirable.
Skills:
Strong analytical abilities and a solid grasp of geometric tolerances and technical schematics. Capability to make precise adjustments and resolve machining issues independently. Experience with CAM software is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided.
Technical Proficiency:
Knowledge of various inspection tools and gauges.
Your Attributes:
Detail-oriented, strong problem-solving capabilities, excellent time management, and the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
