Job Title: Head of HSQE

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head of HSQE to join our team at Hawk 3 Talent Solutions. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving a safety culture across the business, ensuring the highest safety standards are implemented and adhered to across all aspects of our activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction on Health, Safety, and Quality performance
  • Develop and implement effective HSQE systems and processes
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
  • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improvement

Requirements:

  • BTEC/HNC (or equivalent) in a related discipline
  • IOSH Managing Safely certification
  • NEBOSH National General Certificate or above
  • Formal internal auditor qualifications
  • Full knowledge of ISO Occupational Health and Safety Management, ISO 9001 (Quality Systems), and ISO Environmental Systems
  • Significant experience and knowledge of Quality Management
  • Experience and expertise in APQP / PPAP / PSW processes
  • Experience and knowledge of Change Management
  • Experience of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001, ISO 45001 auditing
  • Background in operations, with extensive HSQE responsibilities
  • Experience of multi-site, multi-discipline organizations
  • Strong knowledge of QoS / KPIs / PPM
  • Strong understanding of D/P FMEA, Control plans, SCs
  • Experience of dealing with customers face-to-face
  • Experience of chairing internal & external meetings
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Knowledge and experience of UK manufacturing industry

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Degree qualification in a related discipline
  • Flexible approach to work patterns
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Expertise in Lean methodology
  • Knowledge of Kaizen
  • Understanding of 6 Sigma (Black belt)
  • Experience of working within the automotive Industry or supply chain
  • Working experience of HSQE systems management
  • Understanding and experience of 'Train the trainer'
  • Experience of mentoring auditors
