Salary - £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
Location - Lancaster
Contract - Fulltime, Permanent Position
Hours - Continental Shift (2 days 2 nights 4 off) 7:00am - 7:00pm
Position Overview
The Industrial Electrical Technician is responsible for delivering both planned and predictive maintenance services to ensure optimal operational performance within the factory. This role is crucial in maintaining equipment reliability and minimizing downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine and scheduled maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Respond to urgent repair needs of factory equipment during unexpected breakdowns.
- Possess the capability to repair various electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Execute preventative maintenance tasks across the factory's machinery.
- Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical failures, documenting issues and proposing corrective actions.
- Perform maintenance tasks such as replacing contacts and inspecting motors as per guidelines.
- Knowledge of PLC systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Install or replace cables and conduits for new or existing equipment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A solid understanding of electrical engineering principles, particularly in preventative maintenance.
- A formal technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, such as NVQ Level 3 / C&G Level 3 Electrical, HNC, or equivalent.
- Essential knowledge of industrial machinery and process equipment.
- Familiarity with Health and Safety regulations and practices in a continuous process environment.
