About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Programme Manager to join our Projects and Change team at Southampton City Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering our transformation programme, which aims to balance our budget and create a sustainable council for the long term.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage programmes across the council, ensuring successful delivery and achievement of strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement effective project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Monitor and report on programme progress, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

What You'll Need:

  • Proven experience in programme management, with a track record of delivering successful projects and programmes.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
